WIPped...

...worn out and tired. Still fighting the remnants of the flu (from Christmas) and dealing with the chaos of a new semester at work (I work at a college). I didn't get a whole lot done this week, more playing around that actual progress.

But I did get the back to my Koi Pond quilt completed.
Koi Pond quilt back
Hopefully you can see that I was going for an abstract koi and lilies. My husband thinks I'm crazy. Hmmm, what do you think?

I did mark a sample to FMQ a koi for this quilt. Hopefully that will stitch out and look cool, since the machine embroidered ones where quite messy on the back. Kind of setting me up for  - Woman vs. Machine!

So here are my stats:
In-process: (3)
Elephant quilt
Koi Pond quilt
Pond Pillow

New projects: (0)

Finished (0)

  1. I'm tickled by your abstract koi and lilies. My husband knows I'm nuts and has become awesome at covering up his reactions at my outlandish ideas. It's just the back too? I saw the quilt. Big difference. I love the way you think.

  3. I think your back is fun. I like piecing random backs from fabric in the quilt. It is a nice final touch.

  5. So this is the quilt that will get that amazing koi fish you showed us the other day? Cool! I can't wait to see how that works for you. I have a quilt - a UFO from years ago! - that needs several koi and a blue heron quilted into it. You may be my hero :*D
