Block Nine

Well, I'm finally finished quilting my Layers quilt blocks. I've even gotten them trimmed and I'm ready to start assemble using the wide strip method of QAYG. I think the blocks turned out pretty cool. Now the question is, will that coolness continue as I put it all together?

The back of Block # 9

All nine blocks quilted with miles of Aurifil 50wt thread and  trimmed to 20" x 20" I'm planning about a 3 inch sashing
Well, how fast can I get this quilt together? Cross your fingers and wish me some speed (the wedding is Saturday).

  7. One reader mentions you've come a long way since beginning your FMQ. When did you begin? I haven't tried it yet, so your time frame will give me hope and encouragement. Your blocks are wonderful. When I first saw them I thought of lava coming out of the Earth, and to learn that it is strata, just shows you've done an excellent job. All the different quilting stitches, in all those great earthy colors are amazing. You have done a fantastic job. I just don't know how you'll be able to give it away to your daughter, :)! Thanks for giving us all encouragement.
