Mending My Ways

I love to quilt. I love to sew. I hate to mend or alter. There I have fessed up! Needless to say, I am way behind on my mending. So, in order to mend my ways (and clothes), I have decided that UFO Sundays must include some form of mending or altering. Of course, it will also include some quilty UFO (or USO = UnStarted Object).

Today I'm working on my Elephant quilt. The one I started back in October, because I was tired of working on UFO's .

This block is kind of like a peek under the big top. Click here to see how I constructed the block.
I like how the Navy and the Dark Teal alternate sides

There will be five blocks in total, the rest will be Navy and a teal print. I think this will look cool when it all comes together. I'm planning on this being a Queen sized quilt when completed.

Sew the big question is, did I do any mending? Yup, I sure did. These are some pants from Coldwater Creek that I picked up last fall. How the heck did both hems fall out??? Any way, they are all fixed

Today I'm linking up with The Free Motion Project for UFO Sunday!

Color Me Quilty (and Mendy)!
