Three Koi in the Pond!

Well, almost in the pond. The quilt is all basted and the three Koi are marked.
 This morning I pressed the top and back of my quilt and headed to our unfinished, old, dirty basement. It is not the ideal place to baste a quilt, but about the only place I had room to set up three folding tables. I'm just to old and stiff to kneel on the floor to baste. I spray basted this quilt, since I'm using an all cotton batting.
 I was pretty pleased that I could use the same "stencil" I used for my test fish. The cool thing about this method is that you can see the marker on the back of the tulle also. So I could just flip the stencil over to get my second fish curving the other direction.
I'm really psyched about this quilt. It just seems to be coming together well. I'm crossing my fingers that I didn't just jinx myself by typing that.

    Looks great! I liked the top already, but now it is really coming together. Is your husband sold on this yet?

    I love the quilt - the koi curling down the quilt is such a good idea. It's cool that you used a spray baste.
