My imagination sees this line of paisley as a rope of seaweed. |
Three little minnows swimming in among the seaweed |
I don't think I have ever enjoyed FMQ as much as I have been on this quilt. One more day at work (today), then a lovely three day weekend. Yippee, Skippee!
Since I cleaned up the majority of my UFOs last year, I feel like I can give my imagination permission to create. It feels so good!
I'm linking up with the fabulous Leah Day at the Free Motion Quilting Project for FMQ Friday! What have you been quilting?

That is such an amazing quilt - the fish are gorgeous but the seaweed border is my favorite!!
ReplyDeleteThe quilting is really bringing this quilt to life! Keep going!
ReplyDeleteYou are about a year ahead of me...I'm working on my UFO pile and it will probably take me all of 3013 to get through it! I'm really looking forward to having them finished, so I can try some new things too!
This quilt is just getting better and better! I can really tell that your skill at fmq is freeing your creativity. Those little fish interrupting the seaweed border are darling. Keep going!
ReplyDeleteYes! I see water and sea weed and those fish are amazing. Your fmq just gets better and better :)

ReplyDeleteHad to quote that because I am so hoping that is how I feel come January 2014! Your quilting on this is INSPIRED! I love seeing your progress on this.
This took my breath away. I have sooooo enjoyed watching this quilt emerge from your imagination and fingers. Fabulous!
ReplyDeleteThose Koi are Stunning! You've really captured them well, and the orange is perfect.
ReplyDeleteI love the "water". I love the little paisley border. I love, love, love the fishes. Have I told you how much I love this quilt?
ReplyDeleteIt looks great.. I love the Koi and the little fishies.
ReplyDeleteThis quilt is coming right along...and so beautifully too!
ReplyDeletePat...great job. I love the idea of the Paisley in the border. The Koi fish look fantastic, in fact the whole quilt looks fantastic.
ReplyDeleteYour border is really awesome! I do love paisley! Such nice work.
ReplyDeleteVery nice work on your border. The koi look really great.
ReplyDeleteI love the effect of the stitched koi against all the background quilting -- so striking!
ReplyDeleteKoi, swirly water quilting AND paisley? Is this quilt for ME?!
ReplyDeleteJust kidding. But not kidding that I think it's fabulous. Great job.
Great job, love the fish!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your three day weekend Pat! All of this beautiful stitching (the Koi look AMAZING!), and yet I find myself drawn to those adorable little minnows. Such a cute detail!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your UFO progress, that really needs to be my goal this year.
