Fabulous Finishes!

Ta- Da! I finished my Koi Pond quilt and today is my final reveal!

Quilt specifications: Size 56" x 76"
Thread: pieced and quilted with Aurifil (note: I've never used Aurifil for hand stitching before, but I used it to hand stitch the binding down. I was amazed at how little it knotted and tangled, even with a really long piece. Great thread.)
Batting: Quilters Dream Request - a low loft cotton. It quilted beautifully.
Quilting: All free motion quilted on a domestic machine; Pfaff Quilters Expression 4.0. It has been a year this month that I started linking up with Leah Day Quilt Along. I don't think I could have quilted this quilt without her fabulous teaching and support. Thanks Leah!!!

If you've ever wondered why I tend towards blues, greens and teals, you just have to look outside my window.
Even pretty on a blustery, cold January day!
January was a productive month for me. I finished two quilts and a pillow. Here is my mosaic this month.

Hmmmm, wonder what trouble I can get into for February!

I'm linking up with Lynne at Lily's Quilts for Fresh Sewing Day, Leah at The Free Motion Quilting Project for FMQ Fridays, Laura at Quokka Quilts for TGIFF and Richard & Tanya Quilts for Link a Finish Friday.

  10. Thanks for the in situ photo complete with matching pillow. Like you I am fortunate to live on the water, but ours is a frozen lake river combo at the moment. With a morning temperature of -1 F hunkering down to quilt is the perfect choice for the day and I expect for February.
