Wishing For a Snow Day!

Nemo is the winter storm baring down on New England. My area of upstate NY is supposed to get 6"-10" of snow, but not a drop from the sky so far. The experts are comparing this storm to one in 1978. New England got buried, although everything shutdown here, we didn't get a drop. Hmmm, will history repeat???

Well, I did get a little FMQ practice, although I definitely need a little more practice on this motif. I tried out Leah's concentric circles. Really love the design.

A little rough, but really love the design. I ran out of bobbin thread, so I did finish the practice square.
I  did get the panel for Express Your Love from Spoonflower. I even got it basted. So now I just need to start stitching the out lines.  I was hoping to do that today, but alas, no snow day. :(

I'm linking up with Leah Day for FMQ Friday at The Free Motion Quilting Project.

  1. those circles look like little wind circles...maybe that is all the storm you will see

  2. I'm also in a 6 to 10 inch area. Allentown area in PA. It has been snowing since 7 am and is now after 2. Nothing hit the ground although it is very wet. We are now in between the two storms. We should get ours tonight though. Probably more than enough to get shoveled.

Love that circle pattern too. I haven't tried it though. I'm not advanced enough.

    1. Stella, try drawing them out on paper. You may find they are easier then you think.
