Bears and Moose, Oh My!

My dearest friend Kate is making a quilt for her daughter. It's going to be a Northwoods theme, because her daughter just bought a cabin in the northern most part of New Hampshire. Sew, I'm embroidering bears and moose for the centers of the log cabin blocks.
I have been using cut-away stabilizer for most of these, but I ran out of the size I needed and used tear-away.  I really think I like the tear-away better (below the two big ones are tear-away, the little bear at the bottom cut-away), they seem smoother and less bulky.

I'm heading up to New Hampshire to visit, next Thursday. Kate and I are going to the big quilt show in Manchester.  Can't wait!

Since the bears and moose don't have much color, and I am a color kind of girl, I thought I would give you a little color inspiration.

The flowers just make my heart sing and want to quilt!  Just Color Me Quilty!
