Well, I'm finally finished quilting my
Layers quilt blocks. I've even gotten them trimmed and I'm ready to start assemble using the
wide strip method of QAYG. I think the blocks turned out pretty cool. Now the question is, will that coolness continue as I put it all together?

Well, how fast can I get this quilt together? Cross your fingers and wish me some speed (the wedding is Saturday).

Looking amazing. I can hardly wait to see it finished!
ReplyDeleteIt's been a treat reading your blog & watching your FMQ skills develop.
ReplyDeleteYou've come a long way in a short time.

ReplyDeleteWOW! These are definitely stunning! You have done an awesome job quilting them!
ReplyDeleteBravo!
Gorgeous blocks Pat - good luck getting them together in time. It's going to be completely amazing!
ReplyDeleteOne reader mentions you've come a long way since beginning your FMQ. When did you begin? I haven't tried it yet, so your time frame will give me hope and encouragement. Your blocks are wonderful. When I first saw them I thought of lava coming out of the Earth, and to learn that it is strata, just shows you've done an excellent job. All the different quilting stitches, in all those great earthy colors are amazing. You have done a fantastic job. I just don't know how you'll be able to give it away to your daughter, :)! Thanks for giving us all encouragement.
