I was born and raised in New York, state that is, 400 miles from New York City. I have always been a country girl and have never had a strong desire to go to NYC. But since I had a meeting there this week and so many stories of NYC at Christmas, I really HAD to check it out. So I will share a few of the sites.
One of the first things we did was see the Radio City Rockettes. This is the best show, a MUST if you are visiting NYC!

Some of the windows and stores were wonderful to just "window" shop. Unfortunately, most of the prices were beyond my budget. But I just loved looking at the Lego store window creations.

Times Square - interesting to see, but not really my favorite place. |

Empire State building (I think) |

Bryant Part - one of my favorite places. |
All in all, it was a fun 2 day visit. Really just about the perfect amount of time in the city for this country girl. Now it's time to get quilting, because I have been away FAR TOO LONG!

ReplyDeleteHaven't been to NYC since I was 10 years old, over half a century ago! So, 400 miles from NYC - anywhere near Erie County? I grew up there, about 20 miles east of Buffalo.
ReplyDeleteWow, it looks pretty amazing! Have fun sewing now you're home Pat :o)
ReplyDeleteI've seen the Rockettes in Nashville, but I'm sure it's even more spectacular there. Thanks for sharing.
