A Snowy WIP Wednesday

I LOVE snow days, one of the many perks working in higher education.  Of course, I'm sewing, working on WIP and making some new.

Working on my grandma's quilt, trying out my new ruler. It works great, but it is slow going.

This little ruler is made to be used with a sewing machine (1/4" thick, instead of 1/8" of cutting rulers). It makes nice straight and curved lines by holding it against the sewing machines foot.

I finished quilting my Red Window quilt this week. Still needs to be bound.

But the binding is going to have to wait since I took my Pfaff in for routine cleaning and maintenance.

Waiting for Miss Frances to come home.

Starting to cut my next quilt for the "Mod Olives" QAL at Sew Kind of Wonderful. I don't really want Mod Olives, since it's not green - how about calling it Mod Ovals?

Here are this week's stats:
In-process: (6)
Express Your Love
Grandma's Quilt

Charming Squares Quilt
Red Windows Quilt
Humphrey's New Bed
Casserole Carrier

  1. Wonderful projects Pat! I haven't seen a ruler like that before, does that mean you don't mark your quilting pattern?

  2. I think I have that ruler in a drawer somewhere. Did you use it for your circles? or just stitching in the ditch?

  3. I am going to have to get one of those rulers! I often think while I am quilting wiggly lines that are supposed to be straight, I really need a ruler! That one looks small enough to be manageable on a sewing machine! I might have to go shopping for another tool! ;)
