Quick Curve Meets Nine Patch: Urban Nine Patch

Quick Curve Ruler from Sew Kind of Wonderful
This past Thursday I pulled out my new Quick Curve Ruler that I got for Christmas and started playing with the curves.

That same day, Jenny from Sew Kind of Wonderful (inventor of the ruler) came up with this really cool block.

Jenny is starting a Quilt Along next Thursday. I already have a million projects started, but how in the world can I say no??? I am going to kill two birds with one stone though, I'm going to use this as my FLMQG (Finger Lakes Modern Quilt Guild) solids challenge quilt, which IS on my Big Fat Winter Stitching List!

  1. Looks complicated! I haven't ever tried curves but I am signed up for Rachel from stitched in colors curves class starting Wednesday so I guess I am going to learn. The block is beautiful, just looks intimidating. Happy quilting!

  2. I tried some improv. curved piecing the other day and it was fun! Would love that ruler and so would my fingers who are a little afraid during the cutting process!

    1. I can't enter a comment normal...but I can like this ;o)...I'm so glad your joining in and great idea for the Modern Quilt Challenge! This block is a fun block to do up! And once you sew all those solids together...your guild is going to love it! Thanks again for getting the word out!
