Happy Blogiversary to Me!

Or should I say Happy Blogiversary to Color ME Quilty! The date is somewhat arbitrary, I technically set-up this blog in June, but really didn't do anything with it until July last year. But today would have been my mom's 82nd birthday and she has been the driving force behind my quilting. Now, though all of you wonderful bloggy friends, I hear echos of my mom's love, support and encouragement. Thank you.

My mom loved a party and loved to celebrate, so I think a little giveaway party is in order!

Two charm packs of Piccadilly by Sparky and Marie

To enter for the giveaway, just leave me a comment on any quilting inspiration you have. You can have a second chance if you are a follower (new or old), just leave me a second comment.  You can enter once a day, I will close it on Monday Night at 9:00 p.m. (EDT). I will announce the winner on Tuesday.

If you would like to see some of my mom's quilts click here and here and here!

Thank you to everyone who has made this such a wonderful year for Color Me Quilty!

  1. Happy Blogiversary. I miss my mom too. My quilting inspiration today comes from the quilt I took with me to the 4th of July parade. It is the Modern Eclipse quilt that I made with my winnings from the January 2012 Block Lotto. Check it out here: http://new2quilting.blogspot.com/2012/03/eclipse-block-lotto-quilt-finished.html

  2. My grandmothers were my original quilting inspiration. Now I am inspired by the many cool quilts I see on blogs. I let my mind take them in and meld them together and see what comes out.

  20. This is going to sound really weird, but occasionally I'll look at graphic t-shirts for inspiration, like this top, on "young" sites like Forever 21 because they use trendy colors and patterns.

  63. My quilting inspiration is my baby Julia. I have always loved quilts and have one that I got as a child and my now 17 year old has claimed as his most of his life. I started quilting so that Julia will have a few of her own quilts to love and it seems that quite a few of the family now will have some quilts to love.
