Gifting Some Mug Rugs

I actually finished three of the seven mug rugs I made a week or so ago and forgot to take pictures. My world is a little hectic at the moment, but I did remember to take pictures of the last four mug rugs.

These are for my co-workers, I do hope they like them.

I know they love my husband's homemade peanut brittle. I also used Insul-Bright in the mug rugs so that they can also be used as trivets or even pot-holders.

So, I am linking up with Making Christmas at Rainbow Hare Quilts.

The Christmas Mug Rug March!

I was at a quilting retreat for the past three days. Well, it was just during the day, went home every night, but it was fun to quilt with all of my mom's quilting buddies. I mainly worked on mug rugs for Christmas.

I got five pieced and three of those quilted. Still have to trim and bind.

With the two other mug rugs I've made, I have seven of the twelve I need for Christmas gifts done. Getting there.

My Making Christmas List So Far: (I'm sure to add more)

Sewing List
12 Mug Rugs - One done, six in-process
Alter 3 Shirts - given to me by a family member two years ago (that will teach them not to give me clothing to work on!!!)

Non-sewing list
Peanut Brittle
Fudge

Oh my, Christmas is coming at high speed, less than 4 weeks. While I still have a lot of stitching to do between now and then, I am making progress on my Christmas sewing list.
Stockings for my husband, myself and of course Humphrey Bogart (our Corgi).

Modern, wonky potholders!
Technically this was for Thanksgiving, but it's still festive!
The best news is that I may be getting my big sewing machine back from being fixed (fingers and toes crossed)! This will let me free motion quilt a lot of the projects on the list!

I'm A Feathering Fool

The scrolls in the gold are a little shaky, but I like the feathers.

I must be delusional! I think I can finish this 65" x 65" quilt (Cubic Rhythm quilt) and a whole list of other quilty projects by Christmas! Now, you have to understand that I work full time and I'm a slow quilter (and I can't seem to make myself do easy stippling, NO I have to do feathers!).

Loopy feathers

Don't get me wrong I love making each project, but there are just sew many hours in the day! I've decided to keep me on track for Christmas, by linking up with Janine over at Rainbow Hare Quilts for Making Christmas List.
