Sunday in the Garden

I know that this is a quilt blog, but I also know that some of you, like me, are avid gardeners too. I live in upstate/central New York state, zone 5b/6a. Some of the biggest blizzards we have ever had have been in March. Not this year. Look at the difference one week makes.

Lilies

This magnolia tree normally blooms around mother's day!

Humphrey is loving it!

After all, it is his Corgi garden

Snow shovel along side the garden rake and shovel!
This is a really early spring, maybe I had a premonition with my green March mosaic!

  4. Lucky you! That one week difference is amazing. Usually I have stuff growing already, but for some reason we keep being pelted with snow--in Seattle, which is usually lucky to get snow once a year--so not a single thing has sprouted yet! Also, the corgi is adorable, I think they are the cutest type of dog :)

  6. Every year when it starts getting warmer I am surprised at how much I obviously missed the sun ;-) cause I feel better immediately.

  7. Isn't it wonderful to be outin the garden so early? Up here in Quebec, the snow is still around in April usually and this weekend, I saw that my tulips, daffodils and lilies are coming up! Love, love, love Spring!
