WIP Wednesday: Inching Forward with a Little Progress

Last week I had a question for Leah Day regarding a walking foot, since mine seemed to plow more than walk. Leah said there should be a pressure dial on my machine. After much searching, through no help from the owners manual, I found the pressure foot pressure adjustment. After reducing the pressure, I was able to get all of the blocks and three out of five of the rows together on my storybook quilt.

Since these blocks are already quilted, it's becoming quite heavy

I'm pleased with how well my blocks are lining up.
I also worked on my Quokka Quilts QAYGFMQQAL blocks. Since my quilt has an extra block on each row, I'm now two blocks shy of having the first three rows complete. I like what I have so far.
And finally this week I worked on piecing a back for my Expanding Possibilities quilt. I thought it would be the perfect quilt to work on for this month's Sew Cal Gal FMQ Challenge.
Pieced back for my Expanding Possibilities quilt
My stats this week are:
In-process: (8)
FLMQG solids challenge crib quilt (2 out of 9 Urban Nine Patch blocks done)
Purple heart wall hanging ( needs borders, backing, quilting and binding)
Expanding Possibilities quilt (backing completed, needs to be based and quilted)
Storybook quilt # 1 -  All blocks are joined, along with the first 3 rows using a QAYG method
Storybook quilt # 2 - All embroidery is done
Quokka Quilts QAYGFMQQAL quilt (13 blocks out of 30 quilted)
Sewing Machine Cover - pieced, basted, started FMQ
Geneva Public Library quilt - join and quilt (maybe make a block or two to even it out)

  4. Wow, you sound so organized. So nice that you were able to figure out the pressure foot problem. You have motivated me to get back on track with my projects instead of spending so much time on my blog.
    Thanks

  5. I've had the same problem with my walking foot - so I just don't use it. I'll have to look for this pressure setting. You've got some great projects on the go. I really like your QUOKKA block colours
